Each memoir has several tables to abridge the process of converting dates proposed according to European style into corresponding time that was used in the Southern Provinces. This book was originally intended for the sole use of the Honorable company's college of Fort St. George. But in 1815, it was conceived that some tables in this work might be of help to the people from the Revenue and Judicial departments and thus it was published.
