  1. A set of two equal-sized bamboo, beaked flutes. Five finger holes and a fipple hole on each flute. Both flutes are blown simultaneously by the player and used by the ‘Meo’ community of Alwar, Rajasthan, as an accompaniment to their folk and tribal songs.

These are wind instruments. Sound is produced primarily by causing a body of air to vibrate, without the use of strings or membrane and without the vibration of the instrument itself adding considerably to the sound.
