Description: The video is a presentation on the Dhrohar programme which was held at the headquarters of the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) at Bagore ki Haveli in Udaipur. The programme was a cultural show consisting of different folk and traditional performances of Rajasthan. The show opened with a traditional Rajasthani welcome song. The first performance was the Gawari dance of the Bhil tribe. This dance drama is performed in honour of the Goddess Gavari or Gauri. It is performed by male dancers and the theme of the dance is based on mythological stories. The Chari dance belongs to the Gujjar community of Kishangarh and is performed by women. This popular dance is performed with chari or pots placed on the heads of the dancers. A lighted lamp is also placed in the pot. The Chari dance was followed by the folk dance of Terah Taali.
