Description: This painting belongs to the Pahari school of painting which depicts an illustration from the Ramayana. The scene depicts Rama and Lakshmana fighting multi-armed Ravana. Rama is blue complexioned, wears a mala, armlets, karas and skirt of leaves. A sword and quiver of arrows are tucked into kamarband. He holds a bow in his hands and is aiming an arrow at Ravana. Lakshmana stands to his left. He is fair complexioned, wears a skirt of leaves and a sword and a quiver of arrows tucked to the belt. Ravana (upper portion missing) stands facing Rama and holds a number of arms including a snake in his hands. Three arms of Ravana which were cut out by the arrows of Rama are lying on the ground. Ravana wears a jama and a green coloured kamarband and high boots. It has a yellow background and red border with a black line.
